Job Overview
EMAPHOS is seeking a highly motivated Senior Production Engineer to join our flagship industrial site in Jorf Lasfar. This is a critical leadership role responsible for the end-to-end operational performance of our phosphoric acid purification units. You will be at the heart of our technical excellence, managing a complex chemical environment where precision, safety, and efficiency are paramount. Your primary objective is to guarantee the production of high-grade purified acid while optimizing the use of raw materials, energy, and human resources. You will work in a collaborative environment alongside world-class experts from OCP, Prayon, and Budenheim, contributing to global supply chains in the food and pharmaceutical industries. This role requires a balance of field-based operational management and high-level strategic process analysis.
Missions & Daily Tasks
- Lead, supervise, and mentor shift production teams to ensure daily output targets are met with zero safety incidents.
- Monitor real-time process parameters and intervene immediately to correct any deviations from technical specifications.
- Oversee the startup and shutdown procedures of the purification units during maintenance turnarounds.
- Analyze consumption rates of chemical reagents and energy to identify and implement cost-saving optimizations.
- Draft and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) to reflect the latest technical improvements and safety requirements.
- Collaborate with the maintenance department to prioritize equipment repairs and minimize planned downtime.
- Conduct daily walkthroughs of the facility to inspect equipment integrity and ensure general site cleanliness and organization.
- Prepare detailed technical reports for senior management regarding weekly production KPIs and process efficiency.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) meetings for any operational anomalies or technical failures.
- Ensure all waste management protocols are strictly followed in accordance with environmental standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
Academic Background:
Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Industrial Engineering from a recognized engineering school.
Technical Skills & Expertise:
Advanced Process Simulation, Industrial Operations Management, Lean Six Sigma Certification, High-Level Problem Solving, Crisis Management, Technical Leadership.
